Adult Classes
Sunday School
M&Ms (Moral Misfits) (Room 6): The M & M's (Moral Misfits) class began as an outgrowth of the "Messy Spirituality" small group study. Some participants expressed a desire to continue meeting in order to achieve a deeper understanding of our faith, and several new members have recently joined the group. All members have the opportunity to discuss, question, and react to the lessons of the Scripture and their relevance to the world in which we live. New members are always welcome, so if you are looking for a lively and spiritual Sunday school class, please come check us out! Contact Steve Nixon at (812) 385-4756.
New Beginnings (Room 4): This is an inter-generational group. We are single and divorced, talkative and quiet, married and widowed. We use our diversity to help us study the Bible and to discuss how Jesus relates to us today. We hope that if any of the above descriptions relate to you, you will join us as we find fellowship together. We welcome you in Christian love. Contact Jeannie Robbins at (812) 779-6227.
Wesleyan Class (Room 5): The Wesleyan class is a Bible Study class that uses the materials from Cokesbury. We enjoy fellowship together and periodically have functions together as a group, such as covered dish meals or going to a restaurant. We participate with Hillside Church during the Apple Pie project. We invite you to join us in learning more about our faith. Contact Lisa St. Clair at (812) 677-0802.
Other Classes and Groups
Branches Women's Group (Room 6): Life is busy with jobs, family, and more. Take time out to fill a spiritual need on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (except during June, July, and August). We then discuss how God has worked in our lives through the week. We hold each other accountable in our Christian study and devotions. We share, we laugh, and we cry. These mighty women of God will love you and be there for you in your struggles. You will be sure to be blessed. Contact Lisa St. Clair at (812) 677-0802.
Knotters (Room 7): Do you enjoy sewing, quilting, and fellowship? We gather every Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. Grab a needle, thread, and your favorite fabric and join us! Contact Zoan Meeks at (812) 664-0940.
Monday Evening Bible Study (Room 6): We meet from 6 to 8 p.m. seasonally to engage in lively conversations around Scripture. We select a book and study guide that interest us. Please let us know if you'd like to join the dialogue. Contact Gail Miller at (812) 385-5117 or (812) 779-6197.
Music Ministries
Choir: If you love to praise God through singing anthems and hymns, we'd love to have you in our choir! We rehearse every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. from August through May. We provide music every week for the 9 a.m. service, and we help with certain holidays like Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday. Contact Sandy Nixon at (812) 385-4756.
